Jan Bouterse

As an immigrant I marvel over the vast amount of domestic wood species in the US. I started and operated an architectural millwork company 'Hardwood Designs' in Hillsborough, so wood is in my veins. I thank Frank Penta, my neighbor , for 'turning me on' to this discipline; his unbridled enthusiasm has been infectious. As a proud member of the Chapel Hill Woodturners club I keep learning from my fellow turners.
